Lightly flavored with caramel sauce, this egg pudding is full of warm rich flavor. Best served cold, be sure to chill for at least an hour before serving and keep the pudding in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it.

Ingredients

  • 750 grams milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 120 grams sugar
  • caramel (Liquid, to cover pan)
  • 700 grams water

Directions

  1. In a bowl, add the milk, eggs, and sugar. Mix well.
  2. Grease a bundt cake pan with liquid caramel.
  3. Pour in the pudding, cover with aluminum foil, and then with paper towels (to absorb the water generated on top).
  4. Cook on the stove top in a water bath for 50 minutes, on medium heat.
  5. To check if the pudding is ready, just stick a toothpick in it to see if it comes out clean, if not, cook for a few more minutes.
  6. Let the pudding cool for at least 1 hour before refrigerating until serving.

I never tried egg pudding until yesterday and would give it 4 stars. I will make this again in a couple of weeks and hope it will taste just as delicious. The creaminess was better than store purchased pudding.
