Easy, Not-So-Easy Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic cloves
  • 400 grams tomato purée
  • dried basil
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. 1In a skillet on medium heat, add the oil and saute the garlic for a minute.
  2. 2Add tomato puree and a pinch each of basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  3. 3In a large pot filled with salted water on high heat, boil the pasta for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain the pasta.
  4. 4Add the pasta to the sauce and cook for another minute.
  5. 5Serve sprinkled with the Parmesan cheese.
