  • 1 1/4 pounds beef (flank stead or sirloin stead)
  • 1 onion (medium, chopped)
  • 4 ounces fresh mushroom (sliced)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3 cups egg noodles
  • 8 ounces Velveeta (chopped into 1 inch squares)
  • 1 can peas (or 1 cup frozen peas)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    Directions

    1. In a large skillet – brown the steak and onions on medium high x 4 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
    2. Stir in water and bring to a boil. Add the noodles and bring to a boil again. Reduce to simmer and cook x 7 minutes until the noodles are done.
    3. Add the other ingredients, simmer until velveeta is melted. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
