I boiled the sweet potatoes for 20 minutes. I used 1lb of pork & 1lb beef instead. It turned out amazing. Everyone loved it!

it turned out great. I didn't follow the recipe exactly. No beef broth. Use the can of mixed vegetables. But it was really good.

I thought that Shepherd's Pie is made with minced (ground) lamb or mutton and that Cottage Pie is made with minced (ground) beef...?

This was very easy indeed! I used about 6 peeled yellow potatoes and mashed them with butter, milk, a pinch of smoked paprika, a pinch of garlic salt, pinch of ground pepper, and a dash of regular sea salt for the topping. I also minced the onion and carrots (and added 2 stalks of minced celery) using a processor. The only other addition I made was adding minced mushrooms in when I added the frozen peas. it was a dream of a meal!
