I am constantly on the lookout for recipes that are ready from stove to table in under an hour. This recipe with a start to finish time of 35 minutes caught my eye. It was a quick, easy, and delicious recipe to prepare and serve. Another plus is that my kids love pasta, so quick pasta recipes always get my attention! I made a couple of changes to this recipe: First, I just used regular fettuccine instead of black squid ink pasta. Second, I used frozen cooked prawns in place of the imitation crab meat. I simply thawed the prawns out before adding them to the dish. Make sure and thaw them first so the dish doesn't get to watery. Third, I used fresh basil and fresh parsley instead of dry. I simply chopped the fresh herbs, (about two TBS of each) sprinkled them over the dish, and then stirred them in right before serving. I think fresh herbs just taste better! Oh, and I used regular half and half instead of fat free. Enjoy!
