So easy and yummy. Didn’t have enough enough all purpose so used 1/2 whole wheat flour and it was just num num nummy. Looking forward to experimenting with different toppings .

Followed the recipe, delicious bread. Might bake it a little bit longer, but that's all to do with the oven temps. Super easy, very little cleanup was a bonus.

This was awesome. i put some rosemary in the dough as well as the top. yummy. the outside was crispy crusty and the inside was really soft znd chewy. i made 3 more for a party. it was a success.

Really loved this recipe. I do like to knead more than stirring the dough but other than that it was an awesome recipe. Very rustic and family loved it!

This was so easy to prepare and the results were better than I expected. I was nervous about the sticky dough, but it was not a problem. The instructions were the key. They were well written and simple to follow. It looked almost like the picture (I didn’t use rosemary.) The texture, flavor and presentation were beautiful! I will keep this recipe handy and use it to impress my dinner guests.

This was ultimately wonderful, but I had issues I'd not seen addressed in the reviews. One: not having used yeast in eons, I'd bought the instant kind that says "no need to add water". I ignored, followed your recipe, and all was well. Phew! But next time, I'll use the other kind of yeast. Two: I ended up overbaking b/c I wanted/expected the top to brown all over. Browning was spotty, and barely darker than non-browned areas. Perhaps I needed to oil the entire loaf (I'll do that next time). I also think I put it on too low a rack; next time I'll raise it--I'd left it on the second-lowest b/c my oven's bread proofer function requires that low a rack--I should have thought to raise it to bake. I can't wait to serve it to my guests today--I snuck a piece, and it was OMG. I love rustic breads, and this has a perfect amount of air/chew. Thank you for this recipe. WOW. :) I also made the sautéed garlic and incorporated it into butter for spreading onto the bread. Did I mention? WOW!

easy recipe, used a bread hook on the mixer, let it rise longer than an hour, was a delicious side straight out of the oven.

Amazing!!! My first try at yeasted bread and it turned out deliciously soft and crusty. I had to stop my husband from eating the whole loaf.
