It was my first time making and eating guacamole, and I'm glad to say it was an amazing recipe. I also added tomatoe to the mix.

I didn’t put in the jalepenos, and I added a dash of garlic powder and cumin.

No. This is guacamole: avocados mashed with a fork, salt to taste, and a smidge of garlic powder to alter the flavor but not so much that it's consuming it. Start very small. Also lime juice works to keep it turning brown so easily but it's not vital. Try adding a smidge of mayo as well but not necessary. Onions if you must. But really the two vital ingredients in my opinion are salt and garlic powder. So, if this recipe doesn't work for you try it my way

For the best basic Guacamole all you need is onion, tomatoes, avacado, salt and a little lime or lemon juice.

This took 5 mins to whip together and was so good!! Had to use yellow onions as no red on hand but still loved the results.

It was great!! I used Himalayan Salt instead of regular salt and one red chili pepper instead of two!! Side note: be sure to get soft/ripped avocados.😉

I use fresh minced garlic and diced red peppers! So good. I do not use the cilantro or the Jalapenos

Everyone thought it was great. I used 1/2 of a jalapeno, yellow onion (not much) and a tomato, put everything in the food processor except the avocado, mixed lightly so it was still chunky, then did the avocado the same way and mixed the two together. Very easy and good.

Should use White Onion instead, but rinse them before putting it in to tame the flavor. More traditional Mexican guac.

I could live on guacamole, but avocados available at supermarkets here are never as good as the ones we get in Mexico. This is a great basic recipe - the only thing I like to add to my guacamole are finely-chopped tomatoes and as little as possible of cilantro because I cannot stand the taste - used very sparingly is fine, as in this recipe.

this is an amazing recipe. Put the avocado pit in the guacamole after it's made and the dip does not get brown.

Delicious and simple to prepare. This is pretty much the perfect recipe for a simple side dish like Guacamole!

Everyone loved it. I'll make it again soon. Tastes good with the flour tortillas cut up and fried. Also with chips.

Its a family favorite. Quick and easy and delicious. I will make it again for a hungry crowd. I bake it in a spring form for the extra appeal and easy serving. I also like Quinoa Spaghetti for this recipe. Less calories.

This is an excellent way to make it. When I do it I use white onion and roasted, peeled, seeded poblanos. More trouble, but I usually have them in my freezer all winter, It's also a little milder with poblanos. Guacamole should always be kept simple.

I switched to green onion, chives and a bit of lime . Yummy. I would make this again in a heart beat.
