For the first time it turned out pretty darn good. I didn’t have the mushroom soy sauce.

It turned out great. I learned chilling the cooked rice first is very important for how the texture turns out so I’m definitely going to do that next time! I tweaked the flavor because I didn’t own those sauces and we like it spicy, so I used Sriracha as the main flavoring. I followed the rest of the recipe exactly. It was yummy!

I really liked this recipe, but I found myself tweaking it quite a bit. I skipped the butter and used cooking oil instead in a wok. I first browned my onions and garlic, then added the egg, and then raw chicken pieces until they were cooked all the way through (I made the pieces a little big though, and next time will cut them much smaller). Then I added my oyster sauce, fish sauce, the sesame oil, and a bit of soy sauce. Lastly, I threw in my frozen veggies and let it cook covered on the stove for about 7 minutes. I only did 2 cups of rice, which was plenty for my family of three (and I honestly have no idea how you would have fried it in the pan with 4 cups, like how big is your pan??) and basically just served my stir fry over the rice. I think this recipe would benefit from more veggies, like some mushrooms or mini corn. Overall, this was relatively easy to make, didn't take a long time, and the only ingredients I needed that weren't on hand cost less than $5. Very happy!

So good. I love fried rice and this was better than the restaurant. I left out the things I don't like and it was fantastic. This is going to save me money for sure. Dinner out will now be dinner at home.

I love fried rice. The trick is in the chilling of the rice♡. I added chucks of pan grilled chicken.
