Excellent pancakes. I used to use Bisquick because it makes the best pancakes, but I've been wanting to control the ingredients that go into my food more. These are not the same texture, they are softer (crispy edges with enough butter in the pan), but I like them more than Bisquick. I added 1/2 tsp vanilla. To those who say these aren't fluffy enough, try letting the batter sit for 5 minutes after mixing everything together, the baking soda will make more air bubbles in the batter.

The taste was good but the batter was extremely thin I’m not sure why I didn’t think through the recipe. Equal amounts of flour and milk never turn out fluffy. I will make these again but will eyeball the milk amount

I don’t know if it’s my cheap flour and cheap baking powder, but the taste was not great, it tasted too much of the baking powder... eeuw. The consistency was good though!

Everyone love them! When I added bananas it was pretty messing, they stuck to my skillet. But kids extra loved them- in fact Indoubled the recipe which worked beautifully. Only ingredient that was not 2xs was the baking powder. Inelwent with 2t.

It was great to be able to cut down so it only made two, butthey took forever to cook. They also fell apart when buttered them up.
Deborah S. 7 Nov 2016
Really good! Next time though I will add a bit of vanilla and a tablespoon more sugar (so they brown a little more) and a tsp more baking powder so they are a little fluffier.

I made these this morning and they turned out great. I must say I made a few substitutions, using whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. I used just less than the recipe calls for, maybe a cup and two-thirds rather than the cup and a half. I also added a splash of vanilla and melted butter instead of oil. So good!!

Super easy and the kids loved them. They said they were better than the store bought and I felt good knowing they weren't laden with unnecessary chemicals/ingredients. I added a bit of vanilla to ours:)
