Ready in 50 minutes this recipe harnesses the power of a double boiler. When the milk is added to the dulce de leche it makes a creamy and savor dish. After being refrigerated it can be served as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 leaves gelatin (sheets)
  • cold water
  • 250 grams dulce de leche
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 400 milliliters heavy cream
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 graham cracker (crushed)

Directions

  1. Hydrate the gelatin sheets in cold water.
  2. Melt the dulce de leche using a double boiler.
  3. Warm the milk and add the hydrated gelatin to it.
  4. Add this mixture to the dulce de leche.
  5. In a bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
  6. In another bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff.
  7. Mix cream and eggs with the dulce de leche, mixing carefully to keep it light and fluffy.
  8. Pour into a mold and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  9. Decorate with the crushed graham cracker.

I am a huge fan other Dulce de leche mousse recipes and immediately decided to try this one. I was so impressed on how easy it was to make were to make and how great this recipe turned out. The it didn't require a whole lot of ingredients and it made for one delicious treat that my whole family enjoyed. All around 5 star recipe I can make all the time.
