Description
Made with mild ancho chiles, ripe tomatillos, and your favorite lager, this Drunken Sauce makes flavorful go to sauce to serve with fish, seafood, chicken, or as a dipping sauce for a tasty appetizer. If you want a stronger flavor, you can add diced onion and freshly chopped coriander to the sauce. Experiment with different lagers to find your favorite version of this Drunken Sauce. - In a saucepan, add the chilies and tomatoes. Cook until the chilies have softened.
- In a blender, add the chilies, tomatoes, garlic, and salt. Puree until smooth.
- Pour the sauce into a glass jar.
- Add beer and stir.
- Add coriander and onion for a richer taste.
