- 2 pounds pork tenderloin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- black pepper
- 1 white onion (large, thinly sliced)
- 1 bottle red wine (choice, Use any you like Merlot, Burgundy, Zinfandel, etc.)
- 1 packet brown gravy mix

Unless you LOVE red wine... don’t make this. made it last night and we took off the onions and sauce. Might be better with a white wine. Red is just too strong.

Delicious!! Made only two changes: 1. My local grocery store didn’t have white onions so I used yellow. I’d try it next time with white but honestly it was still delicious with yellow. 2. A typical bottle of wine is 750ml. I used less than 500ml. There was still enough sauce but I got an extra glass out of the bottle 😉 My whole family loved this. Served it with mashed potatoes and bread. Can’t wait to make it again! Excellent autumn or winter dish though it’s currently June and I don’t plan on waiting before putting this back on the menu!

Delicious! I used Au Jus instead of gravy as I did not want a heavy sauce. Hubby loved it and leftovers were just as good.

Could definitely taste the wine! Would add more onions, you can never have enough. I sauteed mine in butter.

i will definitely be making this again...it was delicious! I used white zinfandel as you suggested. The pork was fork-tender.
