Ingredients

  • 1 cup daal (whole urad, skin removed, Black matpe beans polished)
  • 1 tablespoon methi (Fenugeek seeds)
  • 3 cups rice flour (leveled, I use laxmi brand raw rice flour)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups daal (grinding, and the remaining for final batter)
  • 2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
