Description

Offering two great tastes and textures that taste great together, this dessert showcases rich, creamy bittersweet chocolate mousse made with heavy cream. After chilling the mousse in the refrigerator for a few hours, it's topped with cubes of the mint gelatin that are infused with lemon. Take this interesting, decadent dessert to the next level by whipping sweetened cream and finishing the bowls with chocolate shavings. It's best to assemble these right before serving.

Ingredients

150 grams dark chocolate
250 milliliters whipping cream
100 grams sugar
80 grams dark chocolate (thin shavings)
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup mint syrup
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
lemon juice
2 gelatin (sheets)

Directions

1Melt the chocolate with the butter in a small saucepan over low heat stirring constantly until smooth in consistency.
2Let the melted chocolate cool completely.
3Whip the heavy cream and carefully fold it into the chocolate mixture.
4Add the chocolate shavings and refrigerate the mixture for a few hours.
5Serve the mousse in individual dessert bowls with the mint gelatin squares.
6Bring the mint syrup to a boil with the water, sugar, a few drops of lemon juice, and the gelatin sheets.
7Pour the mixture into a baking dish, allow it to cool completely and cut it into small squares.
