DRIED FRUIT AND HONEY CHEESE-BALL
NIKKIFRANK-HAMILTON
Description
I am always on the search for something different. I love easy & delicious recipes. The easier & the quicker the better…
This little concoction is exactly that & it is extremely versatile. The first time we served this was for a wine & cheese party. It paired well with the red, white, dry & sweet. Serve it with berries & grapes. Yum. In the photo above, we added the Dried Fruit & Honey Cheese-ball to our family Christmas get-together, it didn’t last long. Three guests asked me for the recipe, I’d say it was a winner.

Directions
- Step 1 Put the cream cheese, fruit and honey into a food processor and mix til smooth, about 90 seconds or so. If you don’t have a processor then chop fruit small and place ingredients into a mixer and blend.
- Step 2 The mix will be very soft so I spoon it onto a large piece of plastic wrap into a pile. Use the plastic wrap to form the cream cheese into a ball & press almonds to top and sides, wrap up and put in freezer for an hour or more-until hardened a bit. Reshape if you need to. I usually add the almonds to the bottom at this time, but it is not necessary. No one will see the bottom, adding almonds to the bottom makes it easier to transfer to a platter.
- Last step…enjoy! Ta-Da! In a few easy steps you have a Dried Fruit and Honey Cheese-ball, For Those With Nut Allergies: serve as a dip, omit the nuts.
