Ingredients

  • 1 avocado (small ripe, peeled and stone removed)
  • 1/2 lemon juice (only)
  • 1 clove garlic (peeled and minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 tomato (quartered, deseeded and diced)
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (deseeded and cut into sticks)
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper (deseeded and cut into sticks)
  • 1/3 pound carrots (peeled and cut into sticks)
  • tortilla chips
  • parsley sprigs (to garnish)

Directions

  1. Mash the avocado in a bowl with the lemon juice, garlic, sugar and hot sauce. Season. In a separate bowl, mix the chopped tomato with the salsa.
  2. Arrange the peppers, carrots and tortilla chips on a platter and garnish with parsley. Serve with the two dips.
