Description

Before it's baked, these puff pastry bites are sprinkled with a mixture of Parmesan, almonds and thyme, along with salt and pepper. The savory snacks should be cut with a fluted pastry cutter for appearance's sake, though a knife will also do.

Ingredients

1 pastry dough (round sheet puff)
speck (thin slices)
seeds (Various types of, poppy, sunflower, sesame, etc.)
milk (or lightly beaten egg yolk, for brushing)

Directions

1Preheat the oven to 190C.
2Cut the puff pastry into 12 triangles.
3Place the speck in the center of each triangle and roll it up from the base towards the tip.
4Brush with the milk (or the egg yolk), sprinkle with the seeds
5Bake for approximately 15 minutes, until golden.
6Remove the croissants from the oven and serve warm.
