  • 2 onions (small to med, peeled and sliced)
  • 2 bay leaves (dried)
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • smoked paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (to thicken gravy)
