  • 1 ham steak (16 oz, frozen)
  • 1 bag dried pinto beans (16 oz.)
  • 1/2 tomatoes (28.oz can whole, ., or whole 14.5 oz can - diced or stewed tomatoes would work as well)
  • 1 red onion (roughly chopped, white or yellow onion will work as well - this is just what I had on hand!)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 3 cups water
