This smelled amazing while it was cooking but the sauce came out rather watery and seemed to lack flavor (used sweet baby rays and yuengling). I would try making slow cooked bbq chicken again but wouldn’t use this recipe. Gave the recipe 2 stars because it was at least edible.

Cooked on low and followed all directions. Chicken actually got dry and tasted overdone, despite having tons of liquid in slow cooker. Maybe it was the bbq sauce? I used Ol West BBQ and Dipping Sauce . . .

My first ever slow cooker meal. I used a full 500ml bottle of Kinnegar Devil's Backbone amber ale and two bottles of Santa Maria BBQ sauce. In the spirit of creativity, I also added a tablespoon of muscovado sugar. It was absolutely great!

Absolutely delicious!!! I used Diana's chicken and rib and Budweiser sauces. Makes a lot of sandwiches! Great for potlucks!!

This was good. It was a little runnier than I would like but from what other people are saying, it has a lot to do with what brand of BBQ sauce you use. Fast and easy way to make bbq chicken sandwiches.

So good, I used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce and Heavy Seas Loose Canon IPA. I like the idea of trying a different beer and a different sauce each time. By mistake I grabbed chicken thighs at the grocery store, and it still turned out good.
