I love making scalloped potatoes with cream of celery soup. I generally make mine like your recipe, (and I've tried your method,) with a few changes. Instead of using cheese, I found that a can of evaporated milk gives the potatoes a smokey flavor. Salt and pepper is also a must for my method. On the cool crisp days, I'll use the oven and top the potatoes with slices of bacon, cover until the last ten minutes or so, then remove the lid to let the bacon crisp up. A great side for oven baked chicken or pork roast or even chops. Thanks for sharing.
