  • 2 pounds italian sausage
  • 1 whole onion (Diced small)
  • 3 cloves garlic (Minced)
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese (Low Fat)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 48 ounces marinara sauce (Jarred, Store Bought Or Homemade)
  • 4 cups mozzarella cheese (Shredded)
  • 9 ounces lasagna noodles (No cook variety - I use Barilla brand)

    Fantastic! I was given a Crock-Pot casserole slow cooker yesterday and couldn't wait to use it. I saw this recipe and thought I'd give it a try. It turned out delicious. Like others, I did a little adjusting to the recipe. Instead of two pounds of sausage I did one pound of sweet Italian sausage and one pound of hamburger. Very meaty, very delicious. The only thing I will change next time is that I will use regular lasagna noodles. I used the No Boil ones and they got a bit mushy. I will put a little bit of water in first like one lady on here said, just so the noodles don't burn. My cooking time around 5-1/2 hours and then it sat in the cooker for about 20 minutes before I could get to it. Thank you for this recipe!!
