I'd say I followed the recipe exactly except I didn't add the seeds. I cooked mine for 2h 45min for my pot and was perfect (not over cooked). As most mentioned...I did have to add more spices to jazz it up. This is a recipe you can "make your own" as it's so basic and so easy and tastes good. I made White Basmati rice to serve beneath it.

Was a bit too sweet for my taste. Bf said it was missing "something." Will try to doctor it up the next time I make it.

This was very good. My hubby loved it. I did modify it some. I used bone in chicken thighs, added some fresh ginger, green onion and half a teaspoon of Sessame Oil. I cooked them for 2.5 hours, flipped them half way through and ran them under the broiler for a few minutes. perfection!

Yummy!! Easy and I made in the electric pot

Easy to make. I would suggest cooking on high for 2 hours vs 3 and adding some ginger for bite.

Tasty but chicken was overdone. Two hours on low would have been enough time

Only used 1/3 cup soy sauce. Rotated chicken last 2 hours

Over cooked and tasteless. Cook something else.

Delicious. Lots of sauce and chicken was moist. The picky teen finished it off. Served with egg noodle and peas.

We didn’t like it. The chicken was dry and chewy. Won’t make again!

My husband and I tend to have different tastes, but I really liked it, and he literally licked his plate clean. I did just 2 cloves of minced garlic and it was still plenty garlicky for me. (I don’t like overpowering garlic at all.)

Turned out great and was delicious! I just think the sauce needs to be thicker!
Dana 24 Sep
Wish sauce thickened more and a little heat would have made it perfect. Next time maybe red pepper flakes or gochujang

Did not care for it. Flavor combo was strange and lacking.

Fantastic & simple. Will make again.

doubled the recipe and used tomato paste, vinegar, and sugar instead of ketchup but it was delicious and easy!

I enjoyed this! I just used more honey and a little less ketchup. Also sprinkled in some brown sugar. I added a bit of cornstartch later to thicken the sauce. Served it with jasmine rice and seasoned black eyed peas

Used bone-in chicken thighs and legs, other than that, I made it just so and it is so friggin GOOD! IMvHO I just would like a little "bite" so I will add some ginger or sriratcha next time. Thank You.
