It was wonderful. I started cooking at 1pm, and needed it done by 4, so I cooked in high for 1.5 hours and until 4pm on low. the big pieces were moist and tender, the small pieces were a little dry. so next time I will do 4 hours on low, and then check. No way 5 hours to cook. I did only use 2 T of corn starch so the sauce was not runny but not too thick. the flavor was great.

Great! Family loved it and quick and easy

Very good and easy recipe. I only rated it a 4 instead of 5 because I was out of sesame oil and used olive oil instead so that probably changed the flavor slightly. Not for me, but maybe for others

Great recipe, but it’s missing powdered ginger! I added it and everyone who’s tried it says it tastes like Panda Express!

Very good! Cut down soy sauce to 1/3 c; trying to avoid dish being too salty. Instead of mixing 4T of corn starch with 4T of water, mixed 2T corn starch with 4 T of warm liquid from crockpot. Continued cooking about 30 mins. and sauce did thicken! Very tender, cooked about 4 hours

Good - Used Liquid Aminos instead of soy and a little more water in the broth for less sodium-next time will just use low sodium broth. Added canned mushrooms and bamboo shoots.

Not much flavor. The meat was dried out by the end of 5 hours.

worked out well, no issues with corn starch and thickness.

It was okay. I was mostly disappointed with the sauce . After reading the other comments about it I decided to add extra corn starch but it didn’t help at all. It was just runny .

I have 5 children (three picky eaters) and ALL of them loved this!! The only thing i didn't like is the sauce was not thick and I doubled the cornstarch.

the beef was cooked perfectly after 3 hours so 5 hours is not needed. however the sauce did not thicken even though added half hour prior to finish so the meal was quite dissapointing.

This was a winner at our house, "Meat that's more tender and sauce that tastes better than a Chinese restaurant." Safe to say we'll be making this again!

We didn't like the flavor. I'm going to try it again, but add green onions, ginger, and some kind of citrus.

This meal was so yummy!!! We added an onion and ended up throwing the rice in at the end when it was almost done cooking!
