  • 3 pounds pork ribs (I used St. Louis Style because they're meatier)
  • sea salt (to taste, like THIS - adjust according to the saltiness of your barbecue sauce)
  • black pepper (to taste, I like to add a generous amount)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic (or garlic powder)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning (your favorite, blend or rib rub, I used a pineapple serrano seasoning)
  • 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce (*, homemade or store-bought)
  • Did you make this?

Easy and tasty. I doubled the recipe and it came out very saucy, which I enjoyed, but it was different from what the author describes.

Very good. The BBQ sause cooked off the ribs. The last 30 minutes of cooking I drained all of the juices from the crock and continued cooking, it gave the ribs more of an off the grill appearance.

Easy and tasty! Have cooked on high and low, both ways turn out beautifully. I've used different spices for my rub. We like things spicy at our house, cayenne or red pepper flakes help with that. Nice to have great homemade ribs in the dead of winter without using the bbq.
