- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
- 3 tablespoons cornflour (cornstarch)
- 10 tablespoons flour (plain, all-purpose)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 3 chicken breast fillets (chopped into bite-size chunks)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional - you can leave out and just sprinkle with plenty of sesame seeds at the end if you prefer)
- 2 cloves garlic (peeled and minced)
- 1 tablespoon Chinese rice vinegar (white wine vinegar will work too)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce (use more or less depending on the brand and how spicy you like it)
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- rice (Boiled)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 bunch spring onions (scallions, chopped)

Pretty darn good for a first try. I doubled the sauce, made just enough to coat all the meat with a bit extra. I also used thigh meat instead of white breast meat, didn't have sweet chili sauce but used hot chili garlic sauce instead (cut the amount a little). Definitely a keeper!

Everyone really enjoyed this dish. Have made it a couple of times. Only real down side is that it is a bit messy and time consuming to make. I'm sure more practice will make it easier. Will definitely try again.

This was my first time making this dish and it turned out to be really good one. My four children and hubby really loved it, I will definitely make this dish again.
