Crispy Samosas with Mirabelle Plums

Description

Not many people have experienced a plum dessert before. Create a stir by serving this tasty confection at your next family get together. Light and sweet, served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

700 grams plums (mirabelle)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
8 sheets pastry (philo)
20 grams melted butter
confectioners sugar
vanilla ice cream

Directions

1Wash and pit mirabelle plums and place them in a large bowl.
2Add sugar and mix gently. Set aside.
3Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
4Cut each philo sheet lengthwise in 2 strips 8 to 10 cm wide.
5Brush each strip with melted butter.
6Place one tablespoon of plums at the end of each strip, then fold making triangles.
7Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar and bake for about 10 to 5 minutes until well browned.
9Remove from oven,and sprinkle again with confectioners sugar.
10Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
