Crisp Goat Cheese and Fig Stars

Description

You may be shocked when you’re asked to pass the crisps, rather than the potato chips. Figs and goat cheese mix together to give a pleasant, mild taste. Little fingers may be tempted to play with the stars.

Ingredients

4 dried fig
110 grams white flour
45 grams flour (wholewheat)
90 gramsbutter
60 grams fresh chevre
1 egg yolks
1 tablespoon water

Directions

1Cut the figs into small pieces.
2In a bowl, mix the flours and butter, work it all with your fingertips to obtain a grainy paste.
3Add the goat cheese, figs, egg yolk, and water. Knead to a smooth dough.
4Wrap your ball of dough in stretched plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
6On a floured surface, roll out dough to 5 millimeters thick, and cut out shapes.
7Bake on a parchment paper or Silpat for 10 minutes.
8Let cool on a rack.
