    This ia an excellent recipe. a lot like mine. I also use a granny smith apple. a new found treasure, Aunt Bessie brand chitterlings. Truly HAND CLEANED. Theae so have the membrane attatched. I like it! no cleaning needed. just parboil per recipe. ENJOY♥️

    Excellent! I cooked chitterlings for New Years Day. I would make it again. I only used 5 lbs of chitterlings because I am the only one in my household who eats them. After cooking, I added hot sauce and more creole seasoning to my individual plate to taste. But the recipe, as given, was perfect for me.
