  • 8 ounces fettuccine (or linguine)
  • 10 tablespoons butter (divided, I know, but I’ve tried it with less and it’s just not the same)
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms (fresh)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 ounces cream cheese (cut into small pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (chopped, you can use dried herbs if that’s all you have)
  • 2/3 cup boiling water (from your noodle pot)
  • 1 pound cooked shrimp (feel free to buy frozen-gasp!)

    Overall my family loved it. The sauce did not thicken like the instructions said but it still taste great. Will definitely cook this dish again.

    Turned out well, but only served 3 people, not 4. I would also suggest adding spinach or some other vegetable. The pasta was a bit lacking in color.
    Used macaroni instead of fettuccine. It’s a really nice dish considering that it doesn’t take that long to prepare.

    This was so good and easy to make!! I already had some pasta noodles pre-cooked and shrimp thawed. I cooked and ate this in under 30 mins lol. I added some Mrs Dash chicken blend, Italian seasoning, dried parsely and cracked black pepper for extra flavor. Im going to try this next time with spaghetti squash. Came out!!
