- 8 ounces fettuccine (or linguine)
- 10 tablespoons butter (divided, I know, but I’ve tried it with less and it’s just not the same)
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms (fresh)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 3 ounces cream cheese (cut into small pieces)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (chopped, you can use dried herbs if that’s all you have)
- 2/3 cup boiling water (from your noodle pot)
- 1 pound cooked shrimp (feel free to buy frozen-gasp!)

It was fine taste wise but the cheese sauce was not enough and the cream cheese stayed curdled even tho i stirred it forever. I also had to add a whole block of cream cheese and 2 cups of water. Everyone I made it for loved it. Over all i may make it again in the future.

Yum! I feel like there should have been a little more sauce but it was all delicious

Excellent, I’ll be sure next time NOT to use whipped cream cheese, it does not come together stays curdled looking, I added a couple ounces of bar cream cheese and then it came together nice and smooth. This has become a family favorite recipe!

This recipe is scrumpdilliumpcious!! However—being one who loves ‘salad dressing with her lettuce’ — I had to double the sauce recipe. 😊 Also, for those of you who are familiar with Dr. Gundry’s Pesto recipe, I substituted the basil with the pesto. (The pesto is made with basil.) UN-BEE-LEAVE-ABLE!! Also, anytime I cook with cream cheese, I let it come to room-temp before using. It helps a lot with eliminating the ‘curdling’ effect. Bon Appétit! PS Yummly has the best recipes!! 😊

It is awesome. I didn’t have cream cheese so I had to find a replacement which was puréed cottage cheese and it still turned out amazing. This is an awesome recipe!

Fairly simple, instructions are very straightforward. The sauce is great and smells amazing. I added a bit of salt and pepper after I dishes myself up, but it was yummy!

Great. Took a lot longer to make than I figured, but I did quadruple the recipe—Next time I won’t add a full 4# shrimp, it was too much. For the 9 of us we maybe have 1 serving left. I did have to add about a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken the sauce a little more. I simmered and simmered and simmered and it reduced and thickened slightly- after the cornstarch it was perfect. Will definitely make this again.

Perfectly enjoyed and savored. Served it with a strawberry spinach melon salad.

It was way too buttery, not very appetizing to see a pool of butter at the bottom of the bowl. The other ingredients were good though maybe i'll try it again with a quarter of the butter.

This was very tasty. You have to eat it immediately or the sauce separates. Overall this a keeper.
