Creamy Mushroom Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter (I Can't Believe It's Not, !® Spread)
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
  • 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry (or beef broth)
  • 1/2 cup Hellmann's or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth


  1. Melt Spread in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook mushrooms, onion and thyme, stirring occasionally, 6 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in sherry and cook 1 minute. Stir in Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise and broth with wire whisk until smooth. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened. Serve, if desired, over sliced roasted turkey or chicken.
