We added extra spinach to it at the end and loved it
Leah S. 8 Dec 2018
It was ok I also thought basil was too strong and had to add salt
Nathan Winkler 23 Oct 2018
Didn’t enjoy the strong basil flavor. Adding more cheese and salt helped

I've made this several times and it's always great! I usually sub the walnuts for cashews and add a little nutritional yeast
Muñoz 26 Dec 2017
Awesome! I added a bit of diced fresh basil leaves and it turned out pretty well.
Kendra Arceneaux 20 Sep 2017
Turned out pretty well. I added some gochujang to give it a spicy kick, as well, chicken helped give it a bit more flavor too.

It could probably do with out the lemon or just do one squeeze. It overpowered the rest of the ingredients, in my opinion. Otherwise, creamy & refreshing!
JB 4 Aug 2017
Creamy and good, but will probably use less basil. Substituted walnuts for pecans.
Olimpia O. 10 Jun 2017
Excellent pesto. I used the pesto with zucchini spaghetti instead of pasta...yum!
Claire Lazar 10 May 2017
left out a few ingredients like the spinach and the nuts and it still turned out amazing! Even tastier the next day!
Grecia Espinoza 27 Apr 2017
Tried it for dinner and everyone was very happy and satisfied. Made mine with 2 1/2 avocados instead of one just because we are avocado lovers!
Alina Maatjes-Siletskaya 13 Feb 2017
It was alright, but I didn't quite like the taste of pesto. Had to add peanut sauce, made it much better.

turned out real good again!! live this dish!!!
Rimvydas Klimas 18 Jan 2017
Interesting taste, next time I will take a smaller clove of garlic because there was a bit too much of garlic taste. All in all, I liked it.

Absolutely delicious!!! I love how zesty but refreshing this is. Followed the recipe and I will be making this again!!!
Hello Vanessa 😊 11 Jan 2017
Great!!! This was absolutely delicious 😋 super yummy for the whole family and very nutritious. Would do it again

Pretty good, but a little bland. Not a complicated recipe either! Highly recommend if you want a quick meal
Sharlene Prasad P. 29 Sep 2016
I was a little iffy about making something that didn't require any cooking since I haven't done it before but it surprisingly turned out quite well :) I found that I needed more water than what was listed for it to blend
Nm 18 Sep 2016
Delicious, tangy and super easy to make. I didn't have pecans so I used walnuts. I'd make this again!
Daniella K. 9 Sep 2016
Loved it! Added more salt and pepper. Lasted for two days in the fridge and the flavours tasted much nicer the next day!!
Lauren M. 29 Jun 2016
I thought this recipe was pretty bland and more challenging than it's worth. Neither spinach or avocado have much flavor so keep that in mind.
Shanaya S. 23 Jun 2016
This recipe is amazing! So delicious and creamy and a very unique flavor. I love how it's different than the boring old pasta. Made this for the family and they loved it!
Melina I. 31 May 2016
I was pretty skeptical to try this, but it was delicious. I did add an extra clove of garlic, & a couple tbsp of heavy cream. But everyone loved it!! I will make it again for sure.
Mikaela V. 18 May 2016
This was really really gross. I made it and immediately tossed it. No way I was serving this at dinner
Mystina Zummach 17 May 2016
This recipe is fantastic! My husband and kids loved it. There is so much flavor. The lemon juice gives it a wonderful kick. I used 1 tsp of dried basil, since the basil in my garden isn't ready yet, and added a little more water to stretch the sauce a little further. You can use 10 oz of any pasta, but we like the linguine best.
Sam S 13 May 2016
It was very delicious but to make it less nutty, i added salt and more garlic. I made it for my family and and they enjoyed it very much!
Allison C. 1 May 2016
Was skeptical of this recipe but it was WAY better than expected. Perfect for someone who loves creamy pasta sauce but can't eat dairy. Fresh herbs is a must. Pasta keeps ok overnight if you've added lemon. Delicious!

This is absolutely delicious. I've tried it with various greens (spinach, collard greens, and Swiss chard) and all are great. I usually omit the basil and top with pine nuts and red pepper flakes. Everyone I make this for is blown away by how simple and creamy this dish is. An easy weekday meal.
Eloise T. 4 Apr 2016
This turned out wonderfully! I used cashews instead of pecans and it was great! I also added red pepper flakes for some more spice! I didn't have any lemon juice but it turned out just fine.
Bowen A. 24 Feb 2016
Great recipe! Not too heavy, I used some chicken mixed with the pasta water for a little more flavor. Do not forget the SALT definitely needed.. I would add a little more basil or an extra clove of garlic.
