  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 onions (very finely chopped)
  • 4 tablespoons ghee
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (mashed)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • 1 tomatoes (larpe very ripe, seeded and chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 2 tablespoons mint (chopped coriander)

    Directions

    1. Cook the lentils with salt turmeric chilli and the water for about 20 minutes or until very soft. Drain off excess water.
    2. Cook the onion in ghee to a golden brown.
    3. Set aside 1 tablespoon for garnish.
