This cream of seafood soup comes together in less than an hour so will be cozied up with a flavorful bowl in no time. Shrimp, mussles, and octopus add the bold flavors of the ocean. Leek, onion, and bell peppers make for a flavorful base that perfectly accents the seafood. This soup is best served with a sprinkle of oyster crackers or a toasted and butter piece of rustic bread.

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • vegetable oil
  • 300 grams prawns
  • 1 kilogram mussels
  • 2 tentacles
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1.5 liters fish stock
  • 100 milliliters heavy cream

    Directions

    1. Add a tablespoon of oil to a skillet on medium heat. Saute the leek, onion, and bell pepper for 5 minutes.
    2. Add the prawns, mussels, and octopus. Stir a few times and add the paprika.
    3. Saute for 2 minutes, and then add the fish stock. Simmer on low heat for 25-30 minutes.
