This gluten free cream cheese and potato gratin is easy to make and ready in less than an hour. Tuna and bacon make this casserole a full meal in one pan. Substitute vegetables for the tuna and bacon to make a vegetarian version.

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes (medium, 1 per person)
  • 3 cans tuna
  • 150 grams fresh mushrooms
  • 75 grams bacon (cut in thin slices)
  • 1 package philadelphia cream cheese
  • cheese (Yellow, choice, grated, to gratin)

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes, and cut in cubes. Boil in salted water.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  3. Cut the mushroom in large slices.
  4. Heat some olive oil in a large frying pan. When it is hot, add the bacon and mushrooms.
  5. When bacon and mushrooms are golden, add the tuna, and mix. Let cook just until tuna is hot.
  6. Arrange the potatoes in a baking pan, and add the tuna mixture.
  7. While everything is still hot, add the cream cheese, and mix well.
  8. Sprinkle with gratin cheese, and bake until the cheese is golden and toasty.
  9. Serve immediately!

I don't usually do tuna but this is an awesome recipe, not gonna lie. Easy to make, not super timely, and not super pricy. If you're on a budget like me, off-brand cream cheese and cheese works just as well as the name brand. The creamy texture is on point and the bacon adds in a flavorful crunch.
