  • 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 habanero pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 mango (ripe, peeled and chopped)
  • 6.9 oz. rice mix (Zatarain's® Yellow)
  • 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 3/4 cups flour (divided)
  • 1 tsp. Creole seasoning (Zatarain's® New Orleans Style)
  • 1/2 cup oil (for frying)
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (8 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1/2 lb. lump crabmeat
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tsp. butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp. Creole seasoning (Zatarain's® New Orleans Style)

    Directions

    1. Mix all ingredients for the Mango Pikliz in large bowl until blended; cover. Set aside.
    2. Cooking Tip: Prepare the Pikliz a day ahead and refrigerate to blend flavors and add a little extra heat.
    3. For the Rice Cakes, prepare Yellow Rice Mix according to package directions. Spread cooked rice on large shallow baking pan; cool completely.
