Description

Bring the flavor of the seaside to your dinner table with this tasty recipe for Crab Cakes. Shallots and garlic enhance the crab and grated potatoes help the crab cakes to take on a flaky, crunchy texture. Refrigerate the crab cakes after shaping in order to help the ingredients bind and hold their shape while cooking. Squeeze fresh lime over the top of each cake and serve with homemade fries and coleslaw or a salad or eat on a bun, sandwich style.

Ingredients

  • 150 grams crab sticks (finely chopped)
  • 1 shallots (finely chopped)
  • 1 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons flour (without yeast)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • mustard (to taste)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, place the crab, shallot, and garlic, and stir well.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, leaving the flour to add last: Mix everything well, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a non stick pan, add a little butter, and let it melt.
  4. Use a spoon to form small balls with the mix, and place them in the pan. Brown on one side, and then turn over carefully to brown the other side.
  5. Continue this process until you run out of dough.
  6. Serve with lime wedges, fresh coriander, and tomato rice.
