Description

With only 3 ingredients and the use of a blender this dish is perfect for an appetizer.Use of a melon-baller is crucial in this meal. The watermelon brings a sweet flavor to the dish as well as adding color.

Ingredients
US|METRIC

  • 4 watermelon
  • sugar
  • 20 melon

Directions

  1. Remove the rind from the watermelon and place the pieces in the blender. It is not necessary to remove the seeds. Puree until smooth.
  2. Taste and add sugar, if needed. Strain and place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Strain again to remove any trace of seeds.
  3. Add the soup to serving bowls and add 5 melon balls per serving.

Refreshing on a hot summer day, this was a fun dish I made with my kids. They couldn't get over the fact that you can make soup out of watermelon and that soup could be cold. I will definitely make this one again!
