Chicken, your favorite cola, and onion soup mix: That's all that's required to make a super fast family meal, if you don't count salt and pepper (always on hand). To make it, you first brown the chicken pieces, then pour over the cola and simmer until the chicken is tender through and through and the liquid has reduced to a syrupy sauce. Round out the meal with cherry tomatoes and a simple green salad.
- 1 whole chicken (cut into sections)
- ground black pepper
- 1 can cola
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- Salt and pepper the chicken pieces and saute them until golden.
- Pour the can of soda and onion soup mix over the chicken. Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
