well i didnt have coconut milk, but used low fat milk instead. i added freshly squeezed nartjie for a better taste. it worked(no fruit pieces, everything smooth)

If you put honey in it and blend it well it almost tastes foamy. I highly recommend! It's totally delicious!

Really yummy, but has a bitter coffee after taste. I added 1 teaspoon raw honey to sweeten. Much better for my sweet tooth.

I was too impatient to let my coffee cool so I just blended it right after the french press. I added some almond butter and cinnamon. Oh and I used organic coconut milk AND coconut milk coffee creamer. My bf and I loved it!

Loved this. Would take out the coconut flakes though. I found the texture distracting. Adding cocoa as some of the other reviewers suggested sounds like a great idea. I'll make sure to try this next time.

Delicious! I added a tbsp. of cocoa, a tsp. of coconut oil (since we don't have coco flakes), and a cup and a half of frozen strawberries. Simply scrumptious.

Add some cocoa and it makes for a great smoothie. Good for morning or afternoon pick-me-up! Great flavor

Tried this recipe when it was in the 90's outside, SO REFRESHING! I used cold brewed coffee which tends to be a little stronger and used two frozen bananas instead of adding ice to keep it from diluting.

Had an issue when I added hot coffee to the mixture it did some sort of "curdling" with the coconut. Might have been because I already mixed it up as a smoothie with the bananas and everything else and then re-mixed it later with the coffee. But the initial smoothie (to set aside some for kids prior to adding coffee) was delicious. I also added chocolate protein powder. Will try again.

I think it's a great recipe. We loved it!! Instead of ice, I froze the bananas. This gave it a little more of a shake/malt consistency.
