Ingredients

  • 2 cans coconut milk (full fat, thai kitchen brand prefered)
  • 3 tablespoons agar (flakes *, see notes below if using agar powder - I primarily use powder now)
  • 1 teaspoon white balsamic vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons tapioca starch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes (optional but definitely gives it more cheesy-ness - UPDATE)
  • 1 pinch turmeric (for more authentic cheese color - optional)

This had a good taste but not the best recipe I've used. The tapioca just went into clumps and it needed to be blended. It also didn't set properly and was very soft.
