  • 1/2 lb. smoked sausage (fully cooked, cut into 1/2-inch slices)
  • 1 cup onions (chopped)
  • 1 cup celery (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 15 oz. black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 10 oz. diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1 cup beer (or water at room temperature)
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
