Really good! Itseems like slow cooking a roast would give the same basic flavor no matter what soup or vegetable was added. Thebalsamic reduction and mustard really made a pleasant difference. This addition is a winner so we will do that again!

Delicious! Followed recipe exactly, except i added fresh green beans in with the carrots. The meat was flavorful & moist. It made its own perfect gravy. Will definitely make again!

Very simple to make and tastes great! I substituted the balsamic vinegar for red wine and let it simmer with the onions before adding to the pot.

Excellent! Love the Dijon mustard. I added mushrooms , celery, and red wine. Yummy!

Made this in a crock pot and the results were delicious. 20 minutes of prep in the morning produced an easy dinner after work.

This was the most tender and delicious roast! Save the juice for later! We had leftovers and forgot them in the oven too long. Still good. Then we made a savory beef ragout over rice (used the leftover juice) and it was fabulous! Folks who stopped by to visit and eat a snack absolutely raved at it's tenderness and flavor. You cannot ruin this roast!
