Souffle is a delicate dessert that can be a little daunting to some, but with a little attention to detail and some careful work you will be a souffle master in no time. This souffle is flavored with chocolate for a treat that is delicate and rich at the same time. You need just 8 ingredients and 35 minutes to pull this impressive recipe together. Dust the completed souffles with a little powdered sugar or add a dallop of whipped cream to the top.

Ingredients

  • 220 grams butter (room temperature)
  • 150 grams powdered sugar
  • 6 medium eggs (or 5 large ones)
  • 220 grams milk chocolate (melted and cooled)
  • 100 grams flour (sifted)
  • 5 grams cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Beat together the butter and powdered sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and mix well.
  4. Mix in the melted chocolate.
  5. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Carefully whisk into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into individual greased ramekins. Do not fill all the way to the top.
  7. Bake for 6-8 minutes. The souffle should looked cooked on the outside but be jiggly when touched. The chocolate will be melted in the middle.
  8. You can carefully unmold the souffles or eat directly from the ramekins while hot.

I love this decadent dessert. Who knew soufflé can also be made into a dessert. This is the perfect dessert for an upscale dinner party.
