There is nothing quite like a rich chocolate pudding and once you make this recipe for Chocolate Pudding with Marjoram Flowers you will never want to go back to a package mix or store bought chocolate pudding again. Made with both cocoa powder and dark chocolate, this chocolate pudding has a decadent chocolate flavor and a luxuriously smooth texture. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving and garnish with fresh marjoram flowers for an elegant finish.

Ingredients

  • 500 milliliters whole milk
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 50 grams flour
  • 50 grams cocoa (bittersweet, powdered)
  • 40 grams butter
  • 30 grams dark chocolate
  • marjoram (flowers, optional)

Directions

  1. Heat the milk and set it aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, when the butter has melted remove the saucepan from the stove and gradually add the sifted flour, stirring vigorously.
  3. Add the sugar, the cocoa, and the warm milk.
  4. Return the mixture to the stove, stir continuously while bringing it to a boil.
  5. Let the mixture boil for 1 minute, then remove it from the heat and incorporate the chocolate cut into pieces.
  6. Pour the mixture into individual dessert bowls and cool completely.
  7. Then refrigerate for a few hours and serve garnished with a few marjoram flowers.

This chocolate pudding was one of the best I have ever made. It was thick and packed with chocolate. the marjoram flowers was an added bonus that really complemented the chocolate. A 5 star recipe I will make again.
