Description

Granola is a great way to pack a lot of nutrients into a tasty, sweet treat. This Chocolate Granola combines decadent powder chocolate with maple syrup, blueberry juice, more chocolate, almonds and grated coconut. The texture and taste will not only satisfy the sweet tooth, but also provide a hearty breakfast, dessert or snack any time of the day. Use it to create granola bars, or add milk for a tasty treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup chocolate (powder)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon juice (blueberry)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. 2Mix the oats and chocolate powder in a bowl.
  3. 3Mix in the oil, blueberry juice, vanilla, and maple syrup.
  4. 4Place the mixture on a large baking tray which was previously covered with cooking spray.
  5. 5Bake for 10 minutes, remove the tray and mix everything together. Bake for 10 more minutes.
  6. 6Take the tray out one more time, stir the oats and bake for a final 3–5 minutes.
  7. 7Let the granola cool. Once the granola is at room temperature add the almonds, chocolate, and coconut.
