Description

Forget the chocolate oranges from the store. You can make your own tart, sweet treat. These are perfect for after meal snacks, for party favors, and any social gatherings. You’ll need a double boiler and plenty of freezer space in order to have enough because they are sure to be popular.

Ingredients

orange
500 grams sugar
250 milliliters water
1 cinnamon sticks
200 grams dark chocolate
75 grams butter

Directions

1Wash and thinly slice the oranges into circles.
2Place the oranges along with the water, sugar, and cinnamon into a saucepan and cook on low heat for 75 minutes. Remove the oranges from the pan, place onto a baking rack, and let cool for a few hours.
3Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler. Dip the orange slices halfway into the chocolate to coat.
4Store in freezer.
