Get caramel bits and chopped pecan pieces to stir into these cookies, and they will taste amazing. Put down parchment paper on the cookie sheet so that they will come off easier. The chocolate cookie dough can be spread on to a greased cake pan instead to make brownie style squares. Wait until they cool to cut the squares though, so they will have a more neat appearance. Clean the knife for each slice through the cookies with a clean damp towel. It helps the knife slice easier, and the cookies won't tear if the knife is clean.
