Description

These muffins pair two types of chocolate with cinnamon for a sweet and flavorful pastry. Milk chocolate and dark chocolate stud the lightly sweet batter, which gets extra moisture and a bit of tartness from the addition of yogurt. You can eat these as an indulgent breakfast or try them topped with a drizzle of chocolate ganache for dessert. No matter how you enjoy these, they will soon be a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 140 grams flour
  • 40 grams granulated sugar
  • salt
  • 10 grams baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 75 grams milk chocolate
  • 75 grams white chocolate
  • 1 eggs
  • 125 milliliters plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • vanilla extract
  • brown sugar

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and chocolate and mix well.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, mix the egg, yogurt, oil, and vanilla. Mix well. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until a thin batter forms.
  4. 4Lightly oil a muffin tin and fill two-thirds full with batter. Sprinkle some brown sugar on top of the batter.
  5. 5Bake for 20 minutes. To check if they are done, pierce with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
