Description

You can't have too many recipes for chocolate chip cookies, the universal favorite. Here, brown sugar replaces the usual white sugar for deeper flavor. The dough comes together quickly and can be refrigerated up to a day before using, all the better to pinch off portions and roll into balls, without sticking to your hands (flouring your hands also helps). Once baked, you can keep the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Ingredients

220 grams softened butter
100 grams brown sugar
120 grams granulated sugar
1 eggs
300 grams all-purpose flour (sifted)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
150 grams chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

1Preheat the oven to 180.
2Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and the butter in a bowl.
3Once they have been combined well, add the egg, flour, vanilla extract, and baking soda.
4Last, add the chocolate chips.
5Shape the cookie dough into rounds the size of a golf ball and place them on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
6Bake for approximately 13 minutes.
7Cool the cookies completely before removing them from the baking sheet. The cookies can be stored in a metal canister for up to a week.
